But sir, they died like men…

…And how is it that men die?

COMING SOON!  WildClaw Artistic Associate Karen Tarjan’s 2004 adaptation of Michael Shaara’s gorgeous novel, The Killer Angels, is being remounted by Lifeline Theatre in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.  WildClaw Artistic Associate (and 2009 Deathscribe Bloody Axe winner) Christopher Hainsworth stars as Union General John Buford.  Friend of WildClaw Tom Hickey also stars as Confederate General James Longstreet (in a role originated by WildClaw’s Managing Director Brian Amidei).  Previews start this weekend!

The Killer Angels invites the audience into the minds of the decision makers as they wrestle with the “better angels of their nature” and the need to kill in the name of civil war.

Lifeline Theatre presents

September 6 to October 27, 2013

It’s the third summer of the Civil War. General Robert E. Lee leads the Army of Northern Virginia into the North and the Army of the Potomac has no choice but to pursue. Over the course of three historic days, beside campfires and amidst firefights, a remarkable group of soldiers wrestle with their doubts, their fears, and their hopes for a shattered nation. Cemetery Hill, Culp’s Hill, Little Round Top, and Pickett’s charge come to vibrant life through the indelible stories of the men who fought the legendary battles. On the year of the 150th Anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg, Lifeline revisits this beloved adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning 1974 novel.
